A soft transitional decor in a little girl’s room

Experience has taught me that organization is always the key to creating a great and functional room. I had the privilege of working with a lovely family who wanted to make a soft transition from a nursery to a younger-looking room for their daughter. This little girl had enjoyed the most beautiful fairy-style decor during her childhood year. But it was time to create a contemporary space appropriate for her age.

After going through some furniture options, we all agreed on a classic white style that would allow this room to evolve over time and grow with the girl. Gray and vintage rose were the main colors to create a spacious feeling in this small room.

As a mom, I know that toys and playtime can sometimes become overwhelming. To solve this problem, I offer my clients various organization options. As you can see from the before photos, the shelves were overflowing with plush toys. By using baskets, I was able to create a neat and tidy look without getting rid of any of the toys.
The mirror behind the headboard made this room feel more spacious. It also reflected the abstract flower theme present in some of the elements used. I loved designing this room, from choosing each piece to the styling process. Let me know your favorite part of this room. I always enjoy hearing from you!
